The WCRAC meets at 1pm on the first Tuesday of every month at the THPO office.

We provide services to the federal government, Tribal Government and consulting firms. As a service we provide:

  • Archeological surveys

ImageThe tribal members provide valuable services for the Washoe Tribe in the protection of  cultural resources. We work with many agencies and groups promoting cultural exchange and Washoe heritage.

The Washoe Historic Preservation Office or THPO was formed in 2006, with an agreement with the National Park Service The formulation of the THPO gives the Tribe the ability of self governance protecting and enhancing our lands and the cultural resources.

The THPO exerts our rights for consultation over all the Tribal lands, including our traditional territory. We collaborate with the State of California and Nevada, seven national forests, four BLM districts, and other federal, state, local governments and numerous stakeholders.
