Washoe Tribe’s Election Board Recruitment

MEMBERS NEEDED!

The Washoe Tribe’s Election Board is still in need of members to fill the vacant positions listed below.  In accordance with Title 20 Election Ordinance there must be a board member and alternate representing each community and Off-Reservation.  The responsibilities include:  ensuring Title 20 is accurate and revising when needed, preparing voter lists, preparing ballots, selecting polling places, overseeing the elections, and preparing election results.

 The term of office is eight (8) years from the date Tribal Council appoints the person to the Election Board. 

 The qualifications are: being a Washoe Tribal Member, at least 21 years old and reside in the community they represent.

 The following positions are open:

• Dresslerville Community – Alternate
• Reno/Sparks Community  – Board Member and an Alternate
• Stewart Community  – Board Member and an Alternate
• Woodfords Community  –Alternate
