Adult Vocational Training Year End Report 2009
In 2009, eleven enrolled Tribal members received training assistance for certified vocational programs. Five students were right out of High School. Six were re entry with an average age of forty. Eight students attended local training programs:
Desert Truck Driving School UNLV Center for Environmental Studies Milan Career College of No. NV NV Dept. of Motor Vehicles UNR
Three students received training out of state:
Emergency Training Services College of Auctioneering National Indian Child Welfare Association
Adult Vocational Training Scholarships are open entry and awarded to Washoe Tribal enrolled members on a first come, first serve basis for job related, certificated training. New year monies should arrive in early March.
