The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California registered tribal members elect a Chairwoman/Chairman every four years. As of November 2010, Wanda Batchelor assumed the responsibilities of the Chairmanship on behalf of her people. She has succeeded former Chairman Waldo Walker, who held the position for the past 4 years.
