Tribal Council consists of 12 voting representatives from each Washoe Tribal Community. These communities are: Carson Colony, Dresslerville Community, Off-Reservation, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, Stewart Community, and Woodfords Community. All but Woodfords are located in Western Nevada along the Sierra Mountain Range, the traditional territory of the Washoe people. Woodfords is located in Alpine County which borders Douglas County in Western Nevada.

Tribal Council Members can be reached in a variety of ways. The Secretary/Treasurer is their centrally located appointed representative who handles all of the meeting coordination and preparation.
